About the Chorale

Music originated in the heart of God, and was given to man to aid him in coming near that Heart, that place where New Life - Eternal Life - finds its source.

In 1993 the Esk SDA New Life Chorale had its humble beginnings in the quite country town of Esk in the Brisbane Valley. The members faithfully committed themselves to the task of uplifting the name of Jesus and telling the story of His matchless love for man and His soon return, through the medium of music. Now, over ten years later, the Chroale numbers over fifty members, including a young people's section, with three accompanists. Many members spend much time travelling to attend practices and programs, some up to two hours.

However, they agree that the effort is more than comopensated for by the joy in bringing others in touch with that Infinite Heart of love. Many times we have witnessed tears in the eyes as God's Spirit comes to the minds of our listeners. We remember how, after one of our prison visits, the chaplain gratefully stated: "It has been a cold winter; but you have brought the springtime here today."

The music that we have presented over the years in churches, conferences, civic halls and parks, retirement villages and prisons, we now wish to share with you. Whether for family worship ofr your own private meditation, it is our prayer that God's Spirit will come to you and bring you near to His heart, that you will receive His New Life through knowing Him, the only true God, and Jesus Christ Whom He has sent.
